Come May 27 this year, the city of Lagos, popularly called “Lasgidi”, will be agog for the grand finale of the Lagos at 50 celebration. Since the event began in April, a series of activities have been outlined to portray the rich culture of the city. And as the anniversary reaches its climax later this month, the Lagos at 50 committee, chaired by Mr. Habeeb Fasinro, has assured fun loving Lagos residents to be ready for unlimited excitement throughout the celebrations. #1. Lagos Laughs Ibile Comedy Challenge

Lagos is not only a city for party riders, it is home to some of the best comedians the country has seen yet. This event will see 50 stand-up comedians thrill participants in an evening of humor, followed by an open mic night where new comedy talents will be discovered.

#2. Lagos Carnival

For more than a century, the tradition of Lagos has continued to stand tall on account of this exciting carnival. Here is your chance to be part of a celebration that showcases the immense color and eclectic diversity of Africa’s largest city. It is a day of dance and flamboyant displays marked by incredible energy and excitement. The event is scheduled for May 13.

#3. The Eyo Festival
