What better way to explore than showing you cool things to do in Kenya as you bask in the beauty of the gorgeous country. Make the most of your vacation by visiting many pars of the country. From its bustling capital city Nairobi so you can make the most of your vacation. From its capital city Nairobi to the beautiful Diani beach, to the charming Lamu island, one thing is sure, you’d be enthralled by everything! Let’s get to it!

Visit the Wildlife Parks

Nairobi is probably the only city in the world that can boast of having a wildlife park: Nairobi National Park. With close proximity to its central business district, the skyscrapers act as a backdrop when viewing the animals. If you’re looking to spend time in just Nairobi, this is a great choice. Outside Nairobi, you can visit parks like Lake Nakuru wildlife park and Lewa wildlife conservancy. Although, for the best experience at the latter, you might need a few days to plan towards it, you can be sure that you’ll be spell- bound.

Visit the Sheldrick Elephant

The Sheldrick Elephant trust is an animal orphanage for young Rhinos & Elephants. Young orphaned elephants are rescued and rehabilitated till they’re old enough. You get to see and touch these majestic animals up close. Watch them in their elements and if you’re allowed, you can also probably feed little Elephants.

Explore Lamu Island

Lamu Island is a very charming island just off the Kenyan shores. Its rich history and blue waters makes it endearing to tourists. On this island, cars are banned so locals have to transport themselves by road or by donkeys.

Feed Giraffes

Imagine how much fun you’d have viewing and feeding Giraffes? That’s what you get when you visit the Giraffe center. This center is also next door to the Giraffe manor, a boutique hotel where you get to familiarize with the animals without crowd.

Go on a Safari

What’s a visit to Kenya without going on a safari? Kenya is popular for being the wildlife capital of the world. Visit the Masai Mara to watch the great migration of Wildebeests. The dry season between July and October are the best months to view the wildlife. You can go on a safari to one of the many national parks or reserves located around the country. If you would like to catch a glimpse of the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) you should definitely visit some of the most famous wildlife viewing locations like Maasai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo East.

Visit the Musuems

Learn a lot more about Kenya’s history and culture with stories from the National museum. The Karen Blixen museum is also an avenue to look into the past as was the house of famous Danish author- Karen Blixen. The best thing about visiting is that everything is exactly as it was then. Amazing!

Enjoy Nairobi’s Nightlife

Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi is a vibrant city with exciting nightlife. On a good night out, you can be sure of having great fun as Kenyans are known to be amazing party buddies. Check out African tribal exhibitions, eat Kenyan street food, shop at local markets, visit modern shopping malls, dine at international and local restaurants, and don’t forget to take lots of pictures.
