The Nigerian Men’s Basketball team has made history as they become the first Nigerian basketball team to qualify for the Olympics. The team defeated The Dominican Republic with an 88-73 win in Caracas, Venezuela on Sunday night.

It was a very intense game for both teams and nobody saw Nigeria getting this far in the tournament much less qualifying, but then we are full of surprises aren’t we? 2012 is the first year that 2 African teams have qualified for the Olympics.
