Referred to as “Layali Dubai” in Arabic, the Dubai Shopping Festival was started by the Dubai Government in 1996 as a retail event to promote trade in the Emirati city. The Dubai Shopping Festival had a very humble beginning from its first advertisement, where HRH Shaikh Mohammed solicited the public and other corporate investors to invest in the creative vision of DSF. He also stated that DSF is a celebration of Dubai’s spirit of trade and adventure to the world. In March 1996 it was that the Festival will continue as an annual event.

The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2020 starts on 26 December 2019 – 1st February 2020. The festival is aimed at getting tourists to experience all the perks offered in the Arabian terrain; from street arts to classic fashion both locally and internationally, live entertainment, food, and lots more.
